October in League with the Villainous Visard (t-shirt brand)

Villainous Visard is a t-shirt brand which is influenced by comics, hip-hop, manga, japanese street wear and villains of course. After seeing most of the brands out in the UK scene I just felt that there was not enough of a connection, a story, a theme, so I set myself a goal of creating something that was firmly routed in an ideology of the villain and the mask!! Origin of VV©.

There is very little that is known about Villainous Visard. At some point in his life, he had his nose, ears, and cheekbones shaved down so he could easily mould his face to the mask. Once the mask was worn it would be able to manipulate minds as well as mimicking different personas. Villainous Visard would even go as far as to swap his blood for that of the subject he is mimicking. In his mind, he not only would take on a disguise, but he would become that very person.

October print New Deadmau5 merchandise

deadmau5

Designed by Hannah Morrison, in a departure from the usual band merchandise, bamboo fabric T-s were printed using soft water based inks to create a retail look for Deadmau5. The garments were then re-labelled and presented in organic canvas bags, also printed with water based inks.  In a music download culture, it looks like artists are not just recognising the increased importance of merchandise, but also wanting to present a high street quality product.

OCTOBER PRINT CARL FROCH T-SHIRTS FOR ONE TRUE SAXON

Well quite a night was had by all at the Trent Fm Arena on Saturday when Britain’s Finest, Carl “The Cobra” Froch fought and successfully beat Andre Dirrell. Carl and the whole Team Froch Crew were completely kitted out by ONETrueSaxon®, along with many, many very passionate fans who had don’d their Team Froch limited edition T’s. ONETrueSaxon have produced the Team Froch Official Merchandise and created their ‘Super Six Printed T’s’ to celebrate Mr Froch’s inclusion to the tornament, which are available now from ONETrueSaxon.Com

froch

Carl was finally allowed to enter the ring around 2.40 Sunday morning to a reception fit for a conquering hero, which of course he is. Flanked by his brothers Lee and Wayne with the WBC Super Middle Weight belt held aloft, Carl swaggered to the ring adorned by his OTS designed gown featuring the brand new Team Froch logo heavily embroidered across the back, once in the ring and once the deafening cheers and “Welcome to the jungle,” by Guns n Roses had died down, he revealed those shorts!

The shorts had been 9 weeks in the making, from initial sketch on a “post it” whilst having a chat with him, to CAD layouts and then to final heavily detailed hand guided embroidery. Featuring on the right leg our very own British bulldog “Winston” and the ONETrueSaxon logo, and then underlined by the OTS tagline which has become synonymous with Froch “Undisputed . . . NEVER DEFEATED” The back of the shorts were equally as impressive. They featured the redesigned CF Union Crest and flanked by two striking cobras in silvers and grey.

Carl, his corner men and his team certainly looked the part and certainly didn’t disappoint once the action got underway, true Dirrell came to spoil the fight by holding, complaining and skipping backwards to avoid Carl letting go of the “tools of the trade”, his fists, you could see how nervous he was but this was because he knew he was no match for Carl’s power. Carl’s win was no surprise and now he marches on to meet Kessler in Copenhagen in the spring,.

However, before that he has the less dangerous but equally exciting task of becoming ‘The Face of OTS’. He will be featured in the new Spring Summer 10 Product Guide and the Advertising for the next year. We’re all admirers of Carl not only in the ring but how he deports himself in general. A truer Gent we’ve never met and as such he’s a great fit for the understated but powerful style which is part and part of our Brand’s DNA.

Things look very positive for ‘the Cobra’ and very positive for ONETrueSaxon®

Chateau Roux roux-in the new England football shirt

In the name of charity, Loaded magazine asked a selection of top labels to redesign the new Umbro England football shirt. In typical Chateau Roux style, we roux-ind the shirt with an amazing ‘Three Lions’ inspired designed and shot it with a 12-bore shotgun! and printed by October Textiles Ltd.

ABOUT LOADED’S CHARITY AUCTION!
As Umbro unveiled their razor-sharp new England kit, style-experts waffled on about how the simple white shirt carried ‘traditional values of classic tailoring’. Loaded just saw a blank canvas on which to wreak merry havoc. And so we asked England’s hottest, coolest and newest designers to make their mark. Within days, these cats had ripped, sewed, applied graffiti and in one case fired a twelve-bore shotgun at fabric, to bring you these works of football art. Even better, the whole lot is up for grabs. If you fancy one of these nifty designs, get your wallet out and bid because all the cash is going to The PSP Association, for people with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. ABOUT CHATEAU ROUX SHIRT!
Soho-based Chateau Roux are best known for their beautifully soft, bespoke, hand printed garments – oh, and their eccentric imagination. Who else uses fabrics such as bamboo to create their tees, or a shotgun? The Chateau Roux ‘England on Safari’ shirt was inspired by next year’s World Cup in South Africa. The design incorporates the iconic Three Lions using the triangles and bold shapes for which Chateau Roux are renowned, then the shirt was finished off using their not-patent-pending Shot Blast Air System, which is created by opening up a 12-bore shotgun onto it…They’re geniuses. Dangerous, dangerous geniuses.
