What shape do you want your fashion style to be?

We have all seen them, “Do I look good naked, Extreme Makeover, Trinny and Susannah” and many more very entertaining but arguably irrelevant to the plight of the average woman waking up in the morning and thinking how much time do I have to get dressed and ready before the children are up? This would be immediately followed by the myriad of jobs that have to be done whilst desperately trying to style a look to equal a 20 something that has just walked onto the set of a photo shoot in Milan at sunrise.

Can it really be done? The short answer is YES with a personal stylist, hairdresser and a decent bank balance. That is out of the question for most however the good news is that it doesn’t have to be that hard.

The starting point is a basic understanding of body shape or to be more precise your own. Then move onto colours that best suit your complexion and only then will you be ready to start finding styles that best shape you. I know what you are thinking “that is easy for you to say. How do I do that without employing an expensive stylist and on a budget?” One simple way is to use free services that are already available, for example: www.istylista.com.

istylista

Hardcloud dream team – surfing and snowboarding fashion

Hardcloud is UK’s answer to online surf /skate and music inspired fashion.  The brand is a true reflection and belief of the people involved.  That means Ian, Roger and the rest of the ever expanding team!

“Surfing, snowboarding, wakeboarding, bmxing, mountain biking, moto-x, drinking, listening to music, lifestyle and action sports…we all do at least three of these things each, and that is what Hardcloud is about.
We wear what we sell.

As surfers and all the rest of it the things that influence us in everyday life are pretty simple, listening to a new track for the first time, surfing at our local break (Wittering rocks!), going out with our mates. These are the things that help us decide what kind of clothes to offer”. Quote Roger.

Anyway here’s the dream team…

Ian Madden (Big E)
12 years experience in surf/skate/snow retail. Founder of the first proper action sports website…got bored. Surfs (badly), wakeboards (less badly) used to skate Southsea in the days of the Abrooks, likes holidays to hot places. In summary – athletic (skinny), nose 80% of total body weight, funny (yeah right)

Roger Moon (Scrawn)
10 years abusing computers, 5 years in the surf/skate trade. Founded the first proper action sports website with Ian a few years ago, now seeks new challenge! Surfs too much (poo stance), hates snow! Well known for wearing elasticated waist cargo pants well into his twenties but thankfully now cured. In summary – funny, has upgraded to a house with stairs, is worried about hair loss.

Clive Milverton (Lofty)
Likes going naked fishing with his brother, surfing, mountain biking, motorbikes and birds (feathered variety). Hard working and conscientious he is a solid fixture in the team. In summary – doesn’t like dwarf jokes, strong, short legs.

Jonny Day (The Airedale)
7 years experience in the watersports industry also loves kitesurfing and surfing. Has tried London life but has returned to his passion of the action sports industry and the coast. Has also spent a good few years abusing computers and works on our online marketing as well as a bit of everything else we can throw at him! In summary – fields different facial hair weekly, likes a laugh, loves holidays.

Tony Gainsbrough (Big T)
After running his own radio station for 4 and half years, our very own resident music man DJ Tony SlackShot joined the ever growing cloud. Likes music a lot and his brain is better than any Wikipedia discography, likes kayaking and the sea, hates being cold and always wears a jacket in doors! In summary – never makes tea, loves food and enjoys the quiet life in his castle.

Duran Searle (Duranoff, D-Ran, Duuran)
Trained in England and refined in Australia, our travelling graphics genius is also head of the graphics team. Likes to see Friday 5.30pm and an evening out with the boys planning there next adventure, occasionally has meetings with hard inanimate objects. Super hardworking and always delivers on time. In summary – bit of a joker, has plenty of stories and wants to be a surfer really.

Chris Moore (Jedward)
Chris is a longstanding member of the team and we are glad to have him on board. The full time graphics maestro and computer nerd knows what needs to be done. We have learnt that this one is a sarcastic genius and waits until you least expect it to drop in some comedy gold. In summary – Doesn’t like wearing shorts, enjoys kick dancing

Dave Robertson (Big Dave)
Dave is the newest member at the cloud working under the watchful eye of Duran/Chris as our graphics junior. Loves kitesurfing (he’s good), his car and also enjoys an evening on the Xbox with wittering crew. In summary – Likes biscuits, will be surfing by the time we have finished with him!

Sloth Clothing from Brighton Fresh

Brighton Fresh Design Solutions are very pleased to announce the launch of their street wear label ‘Sloth’. With the official launch set to storm London’s Margin Trade Show on the 1st and 2nd of August, the English brand can’t wait to show off its innovative and fresh designs on this all important platform.

Sloth was formed as a way of channelling creativity. Brand creator, Jonathan Mitchell, has been working as a fashion designer for a number of high profile companies for the past eight years, holding full-time positions for Puma and Bench as well as freelancing for Timberland, Next and Adidas, amongst others.

In 2009, Jonathan bought printing equipment and created his own brand Sloth, making t-shirts and hoodies for fun. The popularity of the garments grew locally and now in 2010 Sloth is ready for a wider audience.

Sloth collaborates with a number of talented artists and graphic designers. The first season’s official collection incorporates some amazing designs by renowned artist Starchild. Sloth can also call on input from a team of highly talented freelancers through Jonathan’s company Brighton Fresh.

Most of the garments continue to be designed and hand-printed from his studio in Brighton, or screen-printed locally. Sloth’s ability to produce small or large runs, its vast graphic library and intimate printing techniques allow for tailor-made packages. Sloth can offer exclusive graphics and colourways in limited editions, as well as cost effective larger production runs. Sloth relishes the opportunity to work closely with its clients to offer them the product that they require.

Jonathan hopes to build the brand up slowly and aspires to raise the brand out of the recession and eventually grow the brand to incorporate a wider range of products. Known for his technical and wearable style, Jonathan has valuable knowledge of the industry, having already seen his designs, under many guises and brands, selling millions of units around the world.

Sloth will be launched officially at the Margin Trade Show on 1st and 2nd August 1st this year.

Brighton Fresh and Sloth Clothing also offer professional t-shirt printing and freelance design services and are interested in helping local people create their own fashion lines too. Jonathan encourages interested individuals or businesses with a passion for creative design or looking to produce promotional clothing to get in touch, either through visiting the Brighton Fresh or Touching Sloth clothing websites or by contacting him directly at jon@brightonfresh.com

MICHELLE HEATON REVEALS SWEATZ VEST WEIGHT-LOSS SUCCESS

OCTOBER PRINT NEW T-SHIRT AND CLOTHING RANGE FOR SWEATZ SPORTS as worn by MICHELLE HEATON……

Michelle Pink Dress

Celebrity Big Brother star Michelle Heaton has revealed she uses the revolutionary Sweatz Vest to help shift those extra stubborn pounds!

Michelle, who is currently sporting a fabulously slim, new look, says the Sweatz Vest is perfect for losing weight and making the most of your workouts.

Launched to help natural weight loss, the Sweatz Vest works by increasing your metabolism as you exercise by increasing your perspiration levels.

I have been using the Sweatz Vest for over six months it really helps me to make the most of my workouts, said Michelle. It works by making you sweat more doesn’t sound too good, but it uses up more calories! The water lost is replaced by drinking, but the calories used to create the sweat stay off.

Using the vest, coupled with a healthy diet, has helped me to lose two stone and keep it off which makes all the difference to the way I look and feel. I love the fact that even though it makes you think ‘urgh’ at first, it helps the body detoxify. The sweating removes chemicals stored in the fat cells, which makes my weight loss easier, added Michelle.

The patented, and 100% toxin free, biodegradable vest is simply worn beneath your usual training clothing to help generate dynamic weight loss. The vest works by causing the body to sweat more, which uses up more calories.

Effective for a range of sporting activities, and costing less than £10 for a pack of eight, the vest is thrown away after use and as it is manufactured from safe, toxin-free, 100% bio-degradable polythene, it will cause no harm to the environment, making it a win-win item for everyone.

The vest can be used for gym exercise, cycling and cardiovascular workouts, circuit training, spinning and aerobic classes, jogging, rowing, weight training, walking/rambling and body contact sports.

The vests can be purchased online at www.sweatzsportz.com. With a purchase price of £9.98 for eight, they come in both male and female styles and sizes.
